OWI Moon Walker II Kit
Four legs, two motion starting sensors, one great robot! -- The Moonwalker is a battery-operated robot that demonstrates the mechanical principles of robotics in addition to solar and sound sensing. -- After you assemble the Moonwalker, it uses a phototransistor to sense changes in light and a condenser microphone to sense changes in sound. These stimuli are converted into electric signals that power the motor causing the robot to move forward for an internally programmed amount of time. So all it takes is a flick of a light switch or someone clapping their hands to make the robot walk. When it stops, simply change the lighting or make another sound and its off and moving again. The sensors can be adjusted for sensitivity. Requires 2 1.5V batteries (not included). -- Skill Level II (no soldering) -- Skill Level III (soldering required) -- ยป See -- it in action (Quicktime Movie)
